  • Professor Dinesh Mohan won a Indo-U.S. 21st Century Knowledge Initiative award (formerly known as the Obama-Singh 21st Century Knowledge Initiative) on Indo-US initiatives on Cleaner Energy and Water Research (3rd Cycle). Announced by the U.S. and Indian governments, Knowledge Initiative aims to strengthen collaboration and build partnerships between American and Indian institutions of higher education.

  • Professor Dinesh Mohan has been named as Outstanding Scientist.
    Recently, Council and Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has published the highlights of the 70 years of OUTSTANDING SCIENCS IN INDIA. In the list of leading 70 research papers, Dr. Mohan’s papers ranked no. 9, no 35 and no.63. Furthermore, the review articles published by Dr. Mohan ranked No 2, no 10, 32 which shows the impact of the research contributions made by Dr. Mohan in the basic and applied fields.
  • Professor Dinesh Mohan has been awarded the 4th International Biochar Congress Fellowship for his excellent work presented at the Congress (16th-20th Sep 2012, Beijing, China).
  • Hiyoshi Environmental Award 2010 in recognition of the pioneering spirit, dedication and outstanding research in the field of environmental conservation and protection in India given by Hiyoshi Corporation Japan.
  • Prof. Dinesh Mohan awarded Scopus Young Scientist Award 2007 in Environmental Sciences (http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/authored_newsitem.cws_home/companynews05_00825) in recognition of the outstanding achievements in the areas of remediation and encapsulation of priority pollutants from water/wastewater, tailoring of activated carbons and/or environmentally benign adsorbents, biomass pyrolysis for the development of bio-fuels (bio-oils), development of environmentally friendly wood preservatives and biorefineries. The award consists of Rs. 50,000 and a citation. Scopus Young Scientist awards were instituted by Elsevier - the world’s largest publisher in Science, Technology & Medicine to honor and propel India’s young research minds towards furthering Indian Science in different branches of Science & Technology including biological sciences, chemistry, engineering, environmental sciences, material sciences, mathematics, medicine and physics.
